12-step recovery program to launch Nov. 1 in Holyoke

Anyone who is tired, broken or hurting is invited to a new 12-step recovery program called re:generation.
The program will start Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Highline Electric Association meeting room at 1300 S. Interocean Ave. in Holyoke.
Those who are committed to the program will be meeting weekly on Wednesday nights for 10-12 months.
Re:generation is a biblically based program that is open to anyone. It is being organized by First Baptist Church of Holyoke as a ministry to the community and surrounding area. Mark and Sheryl Farnsworth are serving as the leaders.
The discipleship program has helped people find freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, eating disorders, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, anger and many other personal struggles, all within the structure of authentic community. It is a safe place for people to honestly process questions and doubts while gaining peace and healing.
“This is a resource to overcome hurts, habits and hangups,” said First Baptist Pastor Jeremiah Krieger.
