13 Holyoke FBLA members compete at national conference in Georgia

Thirteen Holyoke High School Future Business Leaders of America members competed at the national conference in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 26-July 3.

Adviser Lori Nelson said there were over 13,000 students in attendance from all 50 states and multiple countries, and only the top 6% of competitors place in the top 10 in each category. Needless to say, the competition is fierce.

HHS competitors giving presentations included Piper McConachie, Kyrah McConachie and Daniela Fierro in Local Chapter Report; Ethan Schneller, Tayla Martin and Teagan Martin in Community Service; Jimena Nuñez, Fatima Nuñez and Hannah Lindholm in Partnership with Business; and Carter Van Overbeke and Elyce Sisseck, competing in American Enterprise.

Those competing in testing events included Ben Kleve in Intro to Concepts of Business; Leah Struckmeyer, Intro to Information Technology; and Ethan Schneller and Piper McConachie in Accounting II.
