2 vehicles stolen

Holyoke Police Chief Doug Bergstrom has reminded people to lock their vehicles and take their keys with them as a way to help prevent vehicle theft.

Two vehicles have recently been stolen from gas stations in Holyoke. In both cases, the keys were left in the unlocked vehicles. The first theft occurred Monday, Nov. 22, and the second happened Sunday, Nov. 28.

Both stolen vehicles were recovered within 24 hours, and the incidents are still under investigation.

Bergstrom said the biggest thing people can do to help reduce the risk of theft is lock their vehicles and take their keys with them when they leave.
