55 bicycles ready for Christmas gift pickup

A project spearheaded by Central Plains Equipment, in conjunction with First Christian Church of Holyoke, has 55 bicycles ready for pickup by parents for Christmas gifts for their children. The community donated 70 bicycles which were taken to the corrections facility in Norton, Kansas, where they were refurbished. Not all were ready for this year’s holiday, so some additional bikes were purchased to fulfill the need for 55 bikes. Central Plains worked with Holyoke School District to target families to receive the gift bikes. Children age 2-16 will receive surprise Christmas bikes, thanks to the program’s generosity. – The Holyoke Enterprise | Johnson Publications
