Andersens shine in lighting contest
Recent warm weather made it a great time for many to decorate their houses for Holyoke’s 29th annual holiday lighting/decorating contest. With so many festive displays, the town is lit up with holiday cheer.
Judging was completed Dec. 9, and winners were Tom and Julie Andersen, first place, 525 S. Sheridan Ave.; Jim and Brandy Sharp, second, 413 S. Bowman Ave.; and Thomas and Julie Elliott, third, 701 W. Johnson St.
The annual holiday lighting/decorating contest is sponsored by the City of Holyoke and The Holyoke Enterprise. Cash awards were presented in the amounts of $100, $50 and $25.
