Make plans for alumni banquet May 26
    The Holyoke Alumni Association is planning its annual banquet, which will honor the classes of 1949, 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999, 2009 and 2019. The event will be Sunday, May 26, at Phillips County Event Center, with social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 20. ‘Candyland’ is preschool program theme
    This Thursday, May 9, Dragon’s Wagon Preschool students will take the stage in a “Candyland” performance for family and friends. The fun starts with a spaghetti supper from 5-6:30 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center, followed by the program and auction at 7 p.m. Auction items are on display at Sullivan’s Appliance & Air, and bids can be made on silent auction items at Holyoke Marketplace. Dinner tickets may be purchased at the door or from preschool parents.
    
Community invited to nursing home activities
    Regent Park is celebrating National Nursing Home Week May 12-18, and community members are encouraged to attend some of the activities planned throughout the week. Those include volunteer appreciation Tuesday, May 14, at 10:15 a.m.; a barbecue lunch Wednesday, May 15, at 11 a.m.; a Rollover Cafe Thursday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m.; and a pie social Saturday, May 18, at 2:30 p.m. For more info, call 970-854-2251.
