Booster Club to host Mouse Races Aug. 2
For the second straight year, Dragon Booster Club is excited to host Mouse Races Friday, Aug. 2, at Phillips County Event Center.
Social hour with an open bar begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Allyn Robinson of Happy Jacks Barbeque will be preparing the meal, featuring Mexican street tacos with pulled pork and brisket, with churros and sopapillas for dessert. Mice will be auctioned off for races beginning at 7 p.m. A silent auction will also be available throughout the evening.
Money raised at the event will benefit all athletic teams at Holyoke JR/SR High School. This past spring, Dragon Booster Club awarded a total of $19,000 to all the teams, mainly thanks to the Mouse Races revenue last year. This is the main fundraiser for the organization and will jump-start the 2019-20 school year.
Mouse Races tickets are currently being sold individually or for a table of eight. Contact Marla Camblin at 970-854-3954, Joy Kinnie at 970-854-4116 or Allie Balog at 970-302-6334.
