Apply for Nov. 2 youth hunt
Pheasants Forever is hosting a youth hunt Saturday, Nov. 2, at Ballyneal, southeast of Holyoke. Space is limited, so kids age 12-16 should reserve a spot by calling Dale Berg, 970-481-8498. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the youth hunt. Mentors will also be available for those whose parents can’t attend. A hunter safety card is required.
Get inspired at Bible journaling workshop
The First Christian Church in Holyoke is hosting a workshop all about Bible journaling Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2:30 p.m. Women are invited to see what it’s all about, and they’re reminded that they don’t have to be a good artist to do journaling. Techniques include stickers, stamps, tracing, Washi tape, pre-printed coloring page Bibles and more.
New curfew in place for minors
According to the City of Holyoke municipal code, it is unlawful for any person under the age of 18 to remain or loiter on any street, alley or other public place between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., except where there is a reasonable necessity or where they are accompanied by the parent, guardian or other person of at least the age of 21 that has permission of the parent or guardian. The curfew applies to all seven days of the week.
No school Monday
Holyoke School District will not have class Monday, Oct. 14, due to a teacher inservice.
