Beef industry saluted in special section
Take a look at the special section inserted in this week’s Enterprise for a unique salute to the beef industry from the four Johnson Publications newspapers.

Fire department to host Family Fun Day
A family fun day, hosted by Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department, is this Sunday, May 21, at Homesteaders Park. Free afternoon activities include a giant slip and slide, bounce house and more.
The Stop Drop & Run 5K race begins at 2 p.m. Participants can register Sunday; however, they will not be guaranteed a T-shirt. Forms are available at CHS Grainland or from Brenda Heldenbrand (brenda.heldenbrand@chsinc.com).
The public is invited to eat and judge the rib cook-off at 6 p.m. A freewill donation will be accepted. Those interested in entering the competition should call Stacy Rueter at 970-520-7758.

Do you know the sweetest baby or toddler?
Baby Bear Hugs is sponsoring its annual sweetest baby/toddler photo contest for children age 3 and under as of July 1, 2017. Two 4-inch-by-6-inch photos (or smaller) can be submitted along with a form available at Baby Bear Hugs, 127 E. Denver St. in Holyoke. Deadline to enter is Tuesday, May 23.
Photos will be displayed at Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union and Haxtun’s Bar Lo Cafe as well as at the Phillips County Fair. The three photos that generate the most donations by July 29 will earn prizes. Funds will benefit Baby Bear Hugs programs. For questions, call 970-854-2921.

Grades 5-6 to present band concert Tuesday
A band concert for grades 5-6 is set for Tuesday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the Holyoke Elementary School gym.
