Workforce Salute debuts next week

The Holyoke Enterprise has been hard at work on a new special section called the Workforce Salute. Local businesses and their employees will be featured, and the editorial theme this year is veterans in the workforce. Look for it next week in print and online!

 

GPRC/Peerless annual meeting is Nov. 21

The annual patrons meeting of the Golden Plains Recreation Center Board of Directors/Peerless Theatre is Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in the theater auditorium. Board members will be elected, and a report will be given from the board. Anyone who patronizes the theater, has donated or otherwise supports the Peerless Theatre is welcome and eligible to serve on the board of directors and to vote in the election.

 

Benefit dinner for Adams set for Monday

Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a benefit for one of its retired members, Brian Adams, who is struggling with health concerns. A freewill dinner with a breakfast theme will be Monday, Nov. 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the Vets Hall.

 

No school Monday

Holyoke School District will not have class Monday, Nov. 18, due to a teacher inservice.

 

New series highlights municipal code

In case you missed it, the Enterprise has a new ongoing series called Informed Citizens that highlights the Holyoke Municipal Code and helps locals stay informed. The municipal code was recodified this year, and some things were added or updated while others stayed the same. Additionally, it’s now available to view online at library.municode.com/co/holyoke.
