Take note of voter registration info for Colorado presidential primary

Those who are wanting to vote in Colorado’s March 3 presidential primary are reminded of some deadlines.

Those who are registered as a Democrat or Republican and who want to vote on the other party’s ballot must change their affiliation before Monday, Feb. 3.

Those who are registered as unaffiliated and who would like to designate which party ballot to receive for the presidential primary must make that designation before Feb. 3. Unaffiliated voters must redesignate for each election. If a party is not designated, unaffiliated voters will receive both party ballots in the mail. They should choose which ballot they want to use to vote and then send in only that ballot. Do not vote on both ballots. If voters send both ballots back and both are voted or both are not voted, both ballots will be rejected.

To register to vote or change information, go to www.sos.state.co.us or go to the Phillips County Court House, Clerk’s Office, 221 S. Interocean Ave., Holyoke. For questions, call the clerk at 970-854-3131.
