Kindergarten round-up canceled

Holyoke Elementary School’s in-person kindergarten round-up has been canceled due to COVID-19. The school would like to send forms to the parents of students who will be in kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. Children must have reached their 5th birthday by June 1, 2020, to be eligible for kindergarten. Parents should call the school office, 970-854-3411, between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekdays to give the school a current address and the student’s name. Return forms and a copy of the child’s birth certificate and immunization record to the school by Friday, May 8.

Submit photos for Mother’s Day contest

In honor of all moms this Mother’s Day, The Holyoke Enterprise is having a photo contest. Submit your favorite mom photo and contact info to the Enterprise by emailing editor@jpipapers.com, sending a private Facebook message to the Enterprise or putting it in the drop box at 130 N. Interocean Ave. The deadline to submit photos is Tuesday, May 5, at 5 p.m.

Voting will take place on the Enterprise Facebook page starting Wednesday, May 6. The photo with the most likes at the end of Mother’s Day, May 10, will be the winner of a $50 gift certificate to a Holyoke restaurant or hair/nail salon of their choice.
