Gun range temporarily closed

Beginning the week of June 1, the Phillips County gun range located south of the landfill will be closed for construction until further notice.

 

Blood drive is Friday

A Red Cross blood drive is set for Friday, June 5, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. Go to https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/do nation-time to schedule a time to donate. All donors will be subject to a temperature check when they enter the building, and donors will be required to wear a mask.

 

Phillips County up to 14 cases in COVID-19 pandemic

Positive COVID-19 cases were reported Monday, June 1, as follows:

— Northeast Colorado: 1,345 cases, including Morgan County, 630; Logan County, 620; Washington County, 41; Yuma County, 40; Phillips County, 14; and Sedgwick County, zero. The Northeast Colorado Health Department also reported that Morgan County has had 43 deaths and Logan County three.

— Colorado: 26,577 cases in 60 counties, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Among people who tested positive for COVID-19, 1,458 have died, and 1,185 listed COVID-19 as the cause of death on a death certificate.

— United States: 1,787,680 cases and 104,396 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

— The world: 6,194,533 cases and 376,320 deaths in 216 countries, areas or territories, according to the World Health Organization.
