Amherst convenience store closes
Rudy’s GTO in Amherst, formerly owned by CHS Grainland, closed Tuesday, May 30. Gas pumps still owned by CHS Grainland are temporarily closed as well while being updated to accept credit cards. They are scheduled to re-open within a couple of weeks as stand-alone pumps.

4-H & More Summer Camp set for July
Monday-Saturday, July 10-15, is the 4-H & More Summer Camp offered for ages 8-13. The day camp will be at Phillips County Event Center and Phillips County Museum from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with one overnight stay at Camp Machasay. Activity topics include GPS, robotics, drones, leathercraft, culinary techniques, homemade butter, sewing, tie-dye, rockets and more. To register or ask questions, call Tracy Trumper at 970-854-3616. Deadline is Monday, June 19.

Everything you need to know about the Phillips County Fair is ready to go in a pocket-sized booklet available at Phillips County Event Center’s Extension office and at businesses around town.

The Fair booklet contains the July 25-30 schedule, rules and requirements for 4-H and open projects, the parade entry form and more. For questions, call 970-854-3616.
