July 10 is the new date for ‘Denim & Diamonds’ Legacy Event
The 11th annual Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation Legacy Event, which was originally scheduled for February, has set a new date of Saturday, July 10. “Denim & Diamonds” is the theme for the event, which includes a delicious dinner, slient and live auctions, and dancing.
The 2021 Legacy Event will be raising funds for IV pumps, a cardiac rehab monitoring system, MMHF operations and scholarships.

Public meeting set for patrol car project
Phillips County has filed a pre-application with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, for financial assistance to acquire a patrol car. A meeting regarding the proposed project will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 9:30 a.m. at the Phillips County Event Center. The public is invited to attend this meeting and to provide comments on the proposed project.
Phillips County Players annual meeting set
Phillips County Players will be having its annual meeting Sunday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at the Peerless Center gym. The group will be electing officers, reviewing last year’s activities and discussing plans for the coming year over coffee and dessert.
