Mask order extended

Gov. Jared Polis extended Colorado’s mask order another 30 days from March 5. The executive order requires people 11 or older to wear nonmedical face coverings over their nose and mouth while in public indoor spaces, with some exceptions including those who:

— Cannot medically tolerate wearing a mask.

— Are hearing impaired or otherwise disabled and where the ability to see the mouth is essential to communication.

— Are seated at a food service establishment.

— Are exercising alone or with others from the individual’s household, and a face covering would interfere with the activity.

— Are receiving a personal service where the temporary removal of the face covering is necessary to perform the service.

— Are asked to temporarily remove a face covering for identification purposes.

— Are actively engaged in a public safety role such as law enforcement, firefighters or emergency medical personnel.

— Are officiating at a life rite or religious service.

— Are giving a speech for broadcast/audience.

— Are alone in a room.
