Gym open house set for April 24
Holyoke School District is inviting the community to an open house Saturday, April 24, from noon-2 p.m. to see the completed gym renovation project. A special presentation will be made at 1 p.m.
Senior exercise classes starting back up
Beginning next week, seniors are invited to exercise classes at SunSet View Community Center. Senior yoga is on Mondays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the east room. Senior strength and balance is on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. in the west room. Masks are optional. Participants should note that there’s also an important meeting for the senior strength and balance class Tuesday, April 20, at 11 a.m.
4-H food drive is Sunday
On Sunday afternoon, April 18, Challengers 4-H Club members will be going door to door to collect nonperishable food items for local food pantries. Feel free to leave food in a bag on your porch, or call Joan Owens at 970-520-4914 to make sure the club doesn’t miss your home. A donation box is also set up at Holyoke Marketplace.
Kindergarten registration is April 22
Parents of children planning to attend kindergarten need to call the elementary office at 970-854-3411 to schedule a registration appointment Thursday, April 22, between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Children must reach their 5th birthday by June 1, 2021, to be eligible for the 2021-22 school year.
Parent meeting set for Monday
A Bobby Jones informational parent meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, in the HHS Center of Innovation.
