Register for reading program Thursday

Heginbotham Library is kicking off its summer reading program with registration Thursday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m. This year’s theme is “Start with the Arts!” Children up to age 11 and teens from age 12-18 are all invited to participate.

Economic development meeting is June 16

The annual meeting for Phillips County Economic Development is Wednesday, June 16. A dinner and program, including youth awards and a county update, will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Paoli Town Hall. RSVP to 970-218-4037 or admin@phillipscountyco.org by Wednesday, June 9.

Conservation district event set for June 14

Haxtun Conservation District will be celebrating 75-plus years of conservation Monday, June 14, at the Phillips County Event Center. The doors will open at 5 p.m., and a complimentary meal will be served by Happy Jacks Barbeque at 6 p.m. followed by a program.

The featured speaker is agricultural advocate, radio personality and rancher Trent Loos of Loos Tales. The event also includes displays, videos and door prizes.

Blood drive is Friday

An American Red Cross blood drive is set for Friday, June 4, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. To sign up, visit www.redcrossblood.org.
