Community invited to birthday bash Saturday
The community is invited to celebrate with Bryan Kroeger at his birthday bash Saturday, Sept. 4, from 4-8 p.m. There will be fun under the tents at the Paoli Town Hall, including games, food and (best of all) Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Let your presence be your gift, and don’t forget to wear your bib overalls!
No school Monday
Holyoke School District will not have class Monday, Sept. 6, due to Labor Day. As a result, there will be school Friday, Sept. 10.
Football contest kicks off this week
Think you know football? Take a stab at the football contests presented by The Holyoke Enterprise and local sponsors each week from Sept. 1-Dec. 1. The contests will feature select high school, college and professional football games. Simply pick which teams you think will win. Turn in your answers to the Enterprise at 130 N. Interocean Ave., email them to brenda@jpipapers.com, text them to 970-466-3150 or enter online at www.holyoke enterprise.com/football. The deadline is every Friday at 5 p.m. Each week’s winner will receive $20, and second place gets $15.
2 incumbents file for 3 school board seats
As of the Aug. 27 deadline, Holyoke School District Re-1J board incumbents Jon Kleve and Brady Ring had filed nomination petitions for three open board seats. As a result, the election will be canceled and the board will look at appointing a new member.
Enterprise office closed Monday
In celebration of Labor Day, The Holyoke Enterprise will be closed Monday, Sept. 6. Any news items or advertising that can be submitted by Friday, Sept. 3, will be appreciated.
