Daddy/daughter dance is next Thursday

City of Holyoke Recreation is hosting a daddy/daughter dance Thursday, Oct. 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes, and the ticket price includes refreshments, a photo booth and dancing.

 

Harvest party planned at Baptist church

Holyoke First Baptist Church will be having a harvest party Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 6:30-8 p.m. for kids age 4 through sixth grade and their parents. The evening will include hayrides, games, crafts and more.

 

Businesses can sign up for Halloween events

Holyoke Chamber of Commerce’s Trick or Treat the Town and Melissa Memorial Hospital’s Trunk or Treat are set for Friday, Oct. 29, from 2-5 p.m. Sign up with the chamber by Friday, Oct. 22, to be included in advertising for the event (director@holyokechamber.org or 970-854-3517). Sign up with MMH by Wednesday, Oct. 27 (diana.baeza@bannerhealth.com or 970-854-2241, ext. 2001).

 

Announce veteran specials on website

A website called operationveteranstrong.org is available for veterans to connect with support and resources. Local businesses can also use it as a place to announce discounts or specials they have for Veterans Day or throughout the year.
