Community invited to Thanksgiving dinner Sunday at Sunset View

A community Thanksgiving dinner is set for Sunday, Nov. 21, from 4-7 p.m. at Sunset View. Those who need a ride or who would like a meal delivered to their house should call Paula Strode at 970-691-1900. Much of the food is being donated by Holyoke Marketplace.

 

School plans Thanksgiving break

Staff and students in Holyoke School District will not have school Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 24-26, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

Entries sought for Parade of Lights

“A Whoville Christmas” is the theme of this year’s Country Christmas and 23rd annual Parade of Lights on Monday, Dec. 6. Parade entry forms are due Friday, Dec. 3, and can be picked up at parade sponsors Highline Electric Association and CHS Grainland. Judging will be based on originality/creativity, decorative effort and lighting display, and Chamber Bucks will be awarded to the top three entries. On Dec. 6, parade lineup is at 5:30 p.m. on Southwest Interocean Drive by Golden Plains Motel. Judging is at 6 p.m., followed by the parade on Interocean Avenue at 6:30 p.m.   

 

Farmers appreciation breakfast is Tuesday

Holyoke FFA members invite all agriculture employees — farmers, elevator workers, equipment dealers, etc. — to a biscuits and gravy breakfast Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 7-9 a.m. in the ag shop at Holyoke JR/SR High School.

 

Enterprise sets early deadline

The deadline for news and advertising for next week’s Enterprise is Monday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. Anything that can be submitted by Friday, Nov. 19, will be appreciated.
