Family Ed registration night is Monday

A registration night for Phillips County Family Education Services is set for Monday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center.

Information will be available on English as a second language classes; GED classes; Northeastern Junior College’s Response, Innovation and Student Equity Education Program; citizenship preparation; family literacy program; after-school homework program; Dolly Parton Imagination Library; and conversation classes.

Free exercise classes offered

Local senior citizens are invited to check out free exercise classes offered weekly at Sunset View Community Center. A senior yoga class is held Mondays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the east room. A senior strength and balance exercise class is held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. in the west room.

Farm bill decision workshop set in Akron

Colorado State University Extension and Washington County Farm Service Agency are hosting a farm bill decision workshop Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 1-3 p.m. at the Washington County Events Center in Akron. Topics include Agriculture Risk Coverage/Price Loss Coverage and the payment outlook for 2022 for major program crops in northeast Colorado.
