Spaghetti fundraiser set for Saturday

A spaghetti dinner that was postponed from a previous date is now set for Saturday, Feb. 26. Food will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 519 S. Interocean, Holyoke. Donations will be accepted to raise funds for Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department’s new firehouse. There will also be live entertainment and treats for kids.

 

Elementary school to host book fair

Holyoke Elementary School’s annual book fair is set for next week. It will be open Monday-Thursday, Feb. 28-March 3, from 3:40-4:30 p.m. Kids can also visit the book fair before school Monday-Wednesday from 7:45-8:15 a.m. On Friday, March 4, it will also be open during parent-teacher conferences from 8 a.m.-noon, 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Attendees should enter through the library doors. The book fair is located in Dani Brandt’s classroom. There’s an eWallet option to shop the book fair at school or online. Free citizenship prep classes offered

Phillips County Family Education Services is offering free citizenship preparation classes Monday evenings at Phillips County Event Center. The first class and registration is Monday, Feb. 28, from 6-7 p.m. Child care is available. For more info, call 970-854-2595.
