Info sought for Holyoke Happenings summer brochure
Holyoke Happenings, a brochure that highlights local events and activities for families, youth and the community in the summer, is coming back in 2022. Holyoke Chamber of Commerce is working in conjunction with the Extension office, Phillips County Family Education Services, Phillips County Economic Development and city of Holyoke Recreation Department to create, produce and distribute this resource for the community.
If you or your business/organization is planning to offer a sports camp, any youth activity, art/educational workshops, events or festivals in the community and would like this listed in the Holyoke Happenings summer brochure, fill out the form at https://forms.gle/bSHFpesRQHCmYgyRA by Friday, April 8. Distribution to the schools and businesses will happen before summer break begins.
Future kindergartners to visit school April 6
Any children planning to attend kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year are invited to visit Holyoke Elementary School on Wednesday, April 6, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Children must have reached their 5th birthday by June 1, 2022, to be eligible for kindergarten. Emerald Award winners selected
Holyoke School District and The Holyoke Enterprise are excited to announce the winners of the 13th annual Emerald Awards. Charlee Kleve is the Heart Award winner, Sarah Bergner earned Leader Among Us, and Kathi Stanley has been named Rookie of the Year. These three school employees will be honored at a special program Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. at the Peerless Theatre.
First, third graders to perform
A concert featuring Holyoke first and third graders is set for Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the HHS auditorium.
