Summer rec registration open

It’s time to sign up kids for the city recreation department’s summer program at Holyoke Ball Park. Teams include T-ball for boys and girls age 5-6, machine pitch for boys and girls age 7-8, softball for girls age 9-12 and 13-16, peewee for boys age 9-10, Little League for boys age 11-12 and Babe Ruth for boys age 13-15.

Forms are available on the “City of Holyoke Recreation” Facebook page. Payment must be made by Friday, May 13, to reserve a spot and a uniform.

Carnival, dance set for Saturday

There will be fun for the whole family at a mini Mexican fair this Saturday, April 30. A carnival is planned for 1-8 p.m., followed by a dance from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for Miss Rodeo. The event will be at the Quintana Rodeo location, 1.5 miles north of Holyoke on Highway 385 and 1/4 mile west on County Road 24.

Family fun day scheduled for May 7

Zion Lutheran Church Ministerio Hispano is planning a family fun day at Holyoke City Park on Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be a free hamburger and hot dog meal, piñata, games and more.
