Families invited to picnic in the park

Families with children up to age 3 are invited to a Baby Bear Hugs picnic in the park Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Take a blanket and a lunch and meet by the City Park water tower for games and fellowship. For questions, call Janice Kilpatrick at 970-630-7182.

Sign up for youth golf tournament

The city of Holyoke recreation department is excited to bring a youth golf tournament to Holyoke Golf Club on Saturday, July 9, at 9 a.m. Boys and girls age 5-7 years and 8-10 years will play nine holes. Age divisions for 18 holes are 11-13 years and 14-18 years. Pre-registration is required by Sunday, July 3, by going to the city recreation Facebook page. Free mental health class offered

“Let’s Roll into Mental Health!” is a free info class with Sidney Jiu Jitsu Academy that’s open to all ages of the public. It’s set for Tuesday, July 5, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Holyoke Fitness Club.

Free cognitive testing available

Melissa Memorial Hospital’s therapy department is offering free cognitive testing on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Participants will get a 10-minute evaluation with a licensed professional. It is not necessary to make an appointment; simply stop by 1001 E. Johnson St. in Holyoke.
