Paquime dancers to perform Aug. 3
The community is invited to help Phillips County Family Education Services celebrate its 30th anniversary Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Holyoke JR/SR High School auditorium. The evening will feature local youth performing Paquime folkloric dances. Refreshments will also be served.
First Baptist to host VBS next week
Kids age 4 years through sixth grade are invited to go on a southwest adventure at vacation Bible school Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5, from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. For more information, call 970-854-2452.
Street work planned for next week
From Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 3-5, city of Holyoke crews will be doing their annual seal coat project. Residents should not park vehicles or allow water to run on the following streets: 100-700 blocks of West Gordon Street, 100-1000 blocks of East Gordon Street, 100-700 blocks of South Morlan Avenue, 100 block of West Carnahan Street, 100-700 blocks of East Carnahan Street, 100-900 blocks of South Sherman Avenue and 1200 block of South Sherman Avenue.
School supply donations sought
First Pioneer National Bank’s school supply drive is collecting donations in supply boxes located in the bank lobby and at Printers Paper and More. Cash donations are also being accepted at the bank and multiple local businesses. FPNB will match cash and donations up to $500. For more info, call 970-854-2227.
