Sunshine Gang forms for age 55+

The Sunshine Gang is a new group for those 55 and older. The first event will be hosted at Sunset View Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. There will be pie, coffee and conversation, in addition to angel food cake. For more information, call Carolyn Sperber at 720-201-1342. 

Kids program starts Oct. 5 at First Baptist

Another year of BASIC Training (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) is set to begin Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6:30-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1000 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. All children age 4 through sixth grade are invited. There will be games, music, lessons, crafts and more. BASIC Training will be held every Wednesday night (as long as there is school) from October to April. For more info, call 970-854-2452.

Free citizenship prep classes offered

Phillips County Family Education Services is offering free citizenship preparation classes on Mondays, beginning Oct. 3 from 6-7 p.m. with registration and the first class. PCFES is located at Phillips County Event Center, 22505 U.S. Highway 385, Holyoke. Child care will be available. For questions, call 970-854-2595.
