Several local events planned for Halloween

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s lots going on in and around Holyoke for Halloween and other fall activities on Monday, Oct. 31. 

Trick or Treat the Town, organized by Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, will provide an opportunity for kids to trick or treat at downtown businesses from 3-5 p.m. Melissa Memorial Hospital is joining the downtown festivities with their annual Trunk or Treat event from 3-5 p.m., located at Phillips County Court House this year.

Holyoke Lions Club is hosting their 71st annual Halloween costume parade at 5:30 p.m. at Holyoke High School’s old gym for all ages up through fifth grade. All participants will receive a bag of candy and a 50-cent piece.

Later that night, First Christian Church is planning a fall carnival party from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Camp Machasay’s Mission Impossible event will be held at 61360 County Road 40, Amherst, from 6-8:30 p.m. for kids in grades 7-12. There will be a free dinner in addition to a fun outdoor game as a family-friendly Halloween alternative. 

All ages are invited to Heginbotham Library’s haunted tours from 6-8 p.m.

 

Holly Daze craft and gift show is this Saturday

Jolly Dozen FCE Club’s 60th annual Holly Daze craft and gift show will usher in the holiday season Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center.
