Community excellence nominations due Jan. 10

Holyoke Chamber of Commerce will be recognizing community excellence at its annual gala dinner and awards ceremony on Monday, Jan. 23. 

Nominations are requested for new business of the year, employee of the year, youth of the year, outstanding citizen of the year and outstanding citizen of the years. Nominations should be submitted to the chamber by Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m.

Book signing to be held at Inklings on Dec. 30

Colorado author Kathy Taylor will be at Inklings Bookstore on Friday, Dec. 30, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for a book-signing event. Taylor will read pieces of her works, sign copies of her latest work, “Trees and Other Witnesses,” and give a presentation on trees to students.

Enterprise office to be closed for New Year’s

The Holyoke Enterprise office will be closed all day Friday, Dec. 30, for the New Year’s holiday. 

CineMagic rescheduled for Jan. 14

GPRC’s CineMagic fundraiser for the Peerless Theatre has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14. Tickets for the Titanic event are on sale now at the theater or through any board member.

Students return to class next Tuesday

After a long holiday break, teachers in Holyoke School District Re-1J will return for an inservice on Monday, Jan. 2. Students will resume class on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
