Inklings hosting book signing on Jan. 19

Inklings Bookstore is hosting a book signing with Pastor Al Smith on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Smith is the pastor of Holyoke First Baptist Church, and his book, “Dear Solomon, My Finances Are A Mess,” corresponds in many ways with his “Dear Solomon” column that often appears in the Enterprise.

Teacher inservice scheduled for Monday

Students in Holyoke School District Re-1J will not have school on Monday, Jan. 16, due to a teacher inservice. 

Price of postage stamps set to increase Jan. 22

The price of USPS postage stamps is set to increase to offset the rise in inflation, with prices taking effect on Jan. 22. The new rates include a 3-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, from 60 cents to 63 cents.

Phillips County Players’ auditions rescheduled

Phillips County Players’ auditions for “War of the Worlds” have been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 13-14, at 7 p.m. in the Holyoke Methodist Church basement.
