Wages Methodist Church to celebrate 100; help needed for October anniversary event
Preparations are underway for a 100th anniversary celebration Sunday, Oct. 15, at Wages Methodist Church, located 14 miles south of Paoli at the corner of county roads 58 and V. Former pastor Richard VanWinkle will lead a 10:30 a.m. service, followed by a potluck lunch and a 2 p.m. presentation.
Help is needed in collecting photos and memorabilia from the 100 years of church history, and organizers are seeking recipes for an anniversary cookbook. If anyone knows the whereabouts of former pastors, that information would also be helpful.
For submissions or more information, contact Frank Salvador by phone at 970-774-7476 or by mail at 58322 County Road V, Holyoke, CO 80734.
