Camp Machasay hosting indoor archery

Youth Challenge is hosting indoor archery at Camp Machasay, located at 61360 County Road 40 in Amherst, on Sundays, Jan. 22 and Feb. 5 and 19, from 1-4 p.m. There is a small fee, and participants can bring their own bow or borrow one from the camp. 

 

Community excellence awards are Monday

The community is invited to Holyoke Chamber of Commerce’s 31st annual gala and community excellence awards on Monday, Jan. 23. 

Doors open at 5 p.m. with a social hour featuring a wine tasting by Red’s Liquors. The welcome and dinner will commence at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony, where the 2022 nominees will be recognized and the winners will be announced.

This year’s nominees are Happy Jacks Barbeque, The Turquoise Chandelier, Thompson’s Grill & Market, Happy Tails, Regent Park Nursing Home, Creative Traditions, Rev. Jerry Rohr, Kyrah McConachie, Peggy Davis, Jack Goodman and Jessie Stewart.

Hospital foundation hosting “Fairy Tale” 

Legacy Event on Feb. 11

Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation’s annual Legacy Event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, at Phillips County Event Center, with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and the event beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

Eventgoers are invited to dress as their favorite fairy tale character or in evening attire for the “Fairy Tale” themed event.
