FCCLA hosting lunch for first responders

Holyoke’s FFCLA chapter is hosting an appreciation lunch for all first responders on Thursday, Feb. 16, noon-1 p.m. in the FACS room at Holyoke High School. All first responders are welcome. 

Farming Evolution event is next week

The 2023 Farming Evolution event is scheduled for Wednesday-Thursday, Feb. 22-23, at Phillips County Event Center. Authors and popular speakers David Montgomery and Anne Biklé will be presenting.

Holyoke FCCLA hosting movie night Saturday

Holyoke FCCLA is hoting a movie night at the HHS auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 pm. Admission is wearing a pair of socks purchased from Holyoke FCCLA as part of the “Step in the Right Direction” service project, with proceeds funding wells in Rwanda.

MMH Healthy Heart Day is next Thursday

Melissa Memorial Hospital is hosting a Healthy Heart Day on Thursday, Feb. 23. Family Practice of Holyoke will be providing healthy heart screenings from 9 a.m.-noon. Blood pressure, lipid glucose and cholesterol tests are available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 50 people.

A free healthy eating class will be offered from noon-1 p.m. Participants will learn how to make healthy snacks with dietician Julie Levy.
