Saturday is Independent Bookstore Day
Saturday, April 29, is Independent Bookstore Day. Sponsored by the American Booksellers Association, the day reminds people that these businesses are good for the local economy, contribute to a city’s uniqueness and bring local readers together.
National Day of Prayer is next Thursday
The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 4. Everyone is invited to meet at 5 p.m. in front of Phillips County Court House to walk and pray for family, church, business, education and government. The community is also invited to join a time of prayer at Holyoke First Christian Church from 6:30-7:30 p.m., with local leaders praying for the nation, state and community.

Ogallala Commons internships coming soon
Ogallala Commons summer internships are right around the corner. The program is a partnership between Ogallala Commons and communities that creates opportunities for high school students, college students or adults in a continuing education program or career change.
