Melissa Memorial planning bike safety day

Families are invited to a free bike safety event Saturday, May 20, from noon-3 p.m. at Melissa Memorial Hospital, 1001 E. Johnson St., Holyoke. The MMH trauma services team will be handing out free helmets to all children. 

There will also be snow cones, an obstacle course, games, a bike wash, a fire truck to spray kids, a food truck, a bike raffle and a dunk tank — with the opportunity to dunk a police officer. 

 

Family Ed offering summer busy bags

Phillips County Family Education Services has “Hooray for the USA!” summer busy bags with activities, crafts and family fun for children ages 3-10. The bags will be available for pickup or delivery the week of June 19. Bags are provided free of charge, sponsored by PCFES and Heginbotham Trust. 

Register by Monday, May 29, on the PCFES Facebook page or email pcfamilyed@yahoo.com. Provide parent name(s), address, phone number, and children’s names and ages.

 

Free CPR class will be held May 27

A public CPR class will be held Saturday, May 27, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Bank of Colorado Pavilion. Pre-register by calling 970-854-3398.

 

PCED annual meeting is June 12

Phillips County Economic Development’s annual meeting will be held Monday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at Paoli Town Hall. RSVP to Director Mikey Brown at admin@phillipscountyco.org or 970-571-5588 by June 2.
