Heath fair is this Saturday at MMH
Melissa Memorial Hospital’s annual health fair is set for this Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m.-noon at the hospital, 1001 E. Johnson St. in Holyoke.
A special nutrition presentation is set for 10 a.m. in addition to the variety of vendors and booths set up throughout the morning.
Discounted blood draws and flu shots will be available at the fair. Appointments can also be scheduled for discounted mammograms by calling 970-854-2241.
Providers will be available for consultation of blood draw results for those who got their blood draws done last week. The health fair is also an opportunity to have blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index checked in addition to screenings for audiology, balance assessment and peripheral artery disease.
Get flu shots next week
Family Practice of Holyoke’s seasonal flu clinic is set for Tuesday, Oct. 24, and Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5-6:30 p.m. at SunSet View Community Center, 725 S. Bowman Ave. in Holyoke. Residents can take advantage of the reduced cost offered these two evenings. For questions, call 970-854-2500.

The Unsinkable Molly Brown featured at museum’s living history event
Phillips County Museum is hosting a living history event called “Katy and Molly: From Tenements to the Titanic” Sunday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. Caryl Harvey, dressed in period costume, will portray Margaret Brown and her maid, Katy.
