    A free Thanksgiving dinner will be served Sunday, Nov. 19, from 4-7 p.m. at SunSet View. Call 970-580-0279 or 308-883-0159 for a ride to or from SunSet View or to have a meal delivered.
    
Sign up to adopt a family this Christmas
    This Christmas, individuals or groups can sign up to adopt a local family in need. Pre-packaged boxes with food, cleaning supplies and some toys can be picked up at Zion Lutheran Church Dec. 19-20. Sponsors can choose to take additional gifts when delivering the boxes. To sign up, call the church at 970-854-2615 by Friday, Dec. 8.
    
Say farewell to Sheriff Urbach on Monday
    A farewell open house is planned for Phillips County Sheriff Rob Urbach on Monday, Nov. 20, from 9-11 a.m. at Phillips County Event Center.
    
Enterprise sets early deadline next week
    The deadline for news and ads for the Nov. 23 newspaper has been bumped up to Monday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. Any copy that can be submitted by Friday, Nov. 17, will be appreciated.

Thanksgiving break is Nov. 22-26
    Next week, students in Holyoke schools will not have class Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, Nov. 22-24. School will resume Monday, Nov. 27.
    
Winter sports kick off with Gatorade Games
    The Gatorade Games will kick off winter sports Saturday, Nov. 18. The girls basketball team will scrimmage at 8:30 a.m. at Holyoke High School’s new gym, followed by the boys. Open-mat wrestling will begin at 9 a.m. in the old gym. Cost for spectators is the donation of one bottle of Gatorade.
