Library to celebrate holidays Sunday
Stop by the Heginbotham Library from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, for the Extravaganza where guests can enjoy tea, punch and the sale of homemade holiday gift items — all while browsing the beautifully decorated library.
Get in holiday spirit at choir concert Monday
Vocalists in junior high, high school and the HHS select choir, Sound Check, have rounded up festive Christmas songs for friends and family at their Monday, Dec. 11, concert. Choirs will perform with directors Marcia Dalton and Maury Kramer at 7 p.m. at the HHS auditorium.
Bands to perform next Thursday
Mark the calendar for the annual December band concert Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Holyoke High School auditorium. Under the direction of Chris Lampkin, instrumentalists in grades 5-12 will perform on stage.
Start new tradition with plate decorating
City of Holyoke Recreation Department is hosting its inagural Christmas plate decorating event for all ages Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center. The fee includes plates, paint and markers, and participants can find their own design or use one provided. Warm November weather breaks record
A toasty 80-degree day Nov. 27 broke a record high for Holyoke, according to the National Weather Service. Warm weather seemed like the norm in November, with six days in the 70s and another six in the 60s.
