Look inside for Salute to Grain
    Johnson Publications is celebrating agriculture with its annual Salute to Grain section, published by The Holyoke Enterprise, The Imperial Republican, The Grant Tribune-Sentinel and The Wauneta Breeze.
    The special insert includes articles on wheat, millet, ethanol, ag facts, supporting organizations, organic farming and more. Area advertisers have also contributed with their own salutes to agriculture. The section can also be read and shared online at www.holyokeenterprise.com under the “Special Sections” tab.

Smorgasbord event includes meal, concert
    The Music Parents’ annual smorgasbord fundraising meal is set for Thursday, Feb. 22, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Holyoke Elementary School. Money raised will help with scholarships, the honor band event, music, equipment and formal attire for music students. Tickets are available from the Music Parents board or at the door.     Following the meal, a free music concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the HHS auditorium. It will feature choir and band members in grades 5-12.

Next week is FFA week at HHS
    FFA week at Holyoke High School kicks off with the annual service sale in partnership with FCCLA. A meal featuring roast beef and Rocky Mountain oysters will be served Monday, Feb. 19, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the HHS old gym. At 7 p.m. approximately 50 students will be available for those wishing to purchase service hours.
    Next Tuesday is Ag Olympics, and FFA will be serving a teacher appreciation breakfast on Wednesday. Thursday is Drive Your Tractor to School Day followed by Barnyard Day on Friday, when a lucky winner will get to kiss a pig.
