Special section celebrates Emerald Awards
    In partnership with Holyoke School District and sponsoring businesses, The Holyoke Enterprise is pleased to present the ninth annual Emerald Awards special section, which can be found in this edition of the newspaper and online at holyokeenterprise.com under “Special Sections.” Features award winners are Cyndi Bahler, Nancy Miles and Shauna Brown.
    
Register for kindergarten Thursday-Friday
    Parents of children who plan to attend kindergarten next year need to call the Holyoke Elementary School office at 970-854-3411 to schedule a registration appointment. Slots are available Thursday-Friday, April 26-27, between 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the school. Parents should bring the child’s immunization records and birth certificate to the appointment.
    Children must reach their 5th birthday by June 1, 2018, to be eligible for kindergarten during the 2018-19 school year.
    
Tuesday is Ladies Night Out
    All women are invited to Holyoke Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Ladies Night Out Tuesday, May 1, from 5-7 p.m. at the Peerless Center. There will be opportunities for shopping and a free movie.
    
Advertisers sought for Salute to Beef
    Johnson Publications newspapers in Holyoke and Nebraska’s Imperial, Grant and Wauneta are preparing their annual “Salute to Beef” section geared toward the beef and agricultural industry.
