Advertisers sought for Home Improvement
Johnson Publications newspapers in Holyoke and Nebraska’s Imperial, Grant and Wauneta are preparing their annual “Home Improvement” section, geared toward the construction industry, as well as all aspects of home improvement. Any businesses interested in advertising should contact Brenda Brandt at 970-854-2811, brenda@jpipapers.com or 130 N. Interocean Ave. by Thursday, June 7. These special sections would not be possible without the support of advertisers.

Dad jokes are due this Sunday
In honor of Father's Day, we're challenging all the men out there to a little competition, because we all know men are super competitive, whether they admit to it or not. Dads are also known for saying the cheesiest, groan-worthy jokes at the most awkward times. So, let's see if you've got jokes! Here's how it works:
    1. Submit 1, 2 or 3 of your best dad jokes along with a photo of yourself. (Appropriate jokes, please!) Email them to editor@jpipapers.com or drop them off at 130 N. Interocean. Brownie points for anyone who sends in a video of themselves telling the jokes. And what dad doesn't like brownie points?? Deadline is Sunday, June 3.
    2. Jokes will be put to a vote by our readers in print and on Facebook June 6-11.
    3. The top two contestants will be named June 13 and will be filmed for the ultimate dad joke face-off. You laugh, you lose!
