First Friday concert features Fuesz, Thompsons
The next First Friday event at Prairie Winds Art Center will feature a concert by Linda Fuesz and the Thompson family Friday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in the gallery at the art center, located at 443 S. Interocean Ave. in Holyoke.
The program for the evening will include classical, patriotic and religious music as well as fiddle tunes. The performers will play violin, mandolin and ukulele. Becky Thompson will provide piano accompaniment.
Refreshments will be served. There is no charge for the performance, but a free will offering for the performers will be accepted.
Enterprise sets early deadline
The deadline for the next issue of The Holyoke Enterprise will be Monday, July 2, at 10 a.m. Any news or advertising that can be submitted Friday, June 29, will be appreciated.
The Enterprise office will be closed all day Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day.
Outdoor movie is free for all ages
For a night with the stars, grab a lawn chair or blanket and head over to the Carriage House Assisted Living parking lot Friday, June 29, for an 8 p.m. showing of “The Greatest Showman.” The event is sponsored by Regent Park Nursing Home and Assisted Living and CSU Extension.
