School athletic physicals begin next week
    Students at Holyoke JR/SR High interested in participating in athletics should make plans to get a physical during the discounted dates. Physicals will be from 4-6 p.m. at Family Practice Clinic Tuesday, July 10, Wednesday, July 18, and Thursday, July 26, with make-up days Wednesday, Aug. 29, and Monday, Oct. 15. Forms are available at the clinic.
    
Summer art camp gets messy
    For any kids who have ever wanted to paint with their feet, see a rainbow volcano erupt or explore fun, messy ways of making art, this summer camp is for them. An art camp is set for Monday-Wednesday, July 9-11, at Homesteaders Park. Kids going into grades 5-8 will meet from 9:30 a.m.-noon, and grades 1-4 will meet from 1-3:30 p.m. The camp cost includes all supplies. Space is limited. Baby sitter training course offered
    Instructor Tracy Trumper, CSU Extension agent, will be holding a baby sitter basics training class Tuesday, July 17, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center. Participants must be 11-14 years old. They will learn about child safety, first aid, nutrition, stages of development and the business of baby-sitting.
