Outdoor movie features ‘The Jungle Book’
    Before summer slips by, take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a free movie on the Heginbotham Library lawn. All ages are invited to watch “The Jungle Book” Friday, July 20, at dusk. Library grounds and concessions open at 8 p.m. Take a lawn chair, blanket and bug spray.
    
School supply drive to help local students
    The annual school supply drive, hosted by First Pioneer National Bank, is now accepting donations. Items can be dropped off at 150 S. Interocean Ave., and jars at local businesses will collect cash donations.
    
Free ice packs promote food safety
    Northeast Colorado Health Department’s Amber Donovan will be at the Phillips County Fair Friday, July 27, from 1-3 p.m. to hand out free ice packs to children to promote food safety.
    
Low-income seniors may qualify for nutrition assistance
    Adults age 60 and over in Phillips County may be eligible to receive a monthly nutritious food box consisting of non-perishable protein, milk, juice, cereal, canned or dried fruits and vegetables, and refrigerated cheese. Food Bank of the Rockies and its partner agencies want to make sure no senior goes hungry. Zornio to host meet and greet Saturday
    Trish Zornio, who is considering a run for U.S. Senate in 2020, will be at Holyoke City Park Saturday, July 21, for a meet and greet from 12:15-1 p.m.
