Library announces cooking theme for once-a-month children’s storytime
    Children 2 years old and up are invited to storytime at the Heginbotham Library from 10-10:45 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month from September to May. Books, crafts and snacks will follow the theme “What’s Cooking at the Library.”
    
Regent Park to host Barnyard Bash
    Regent Park and Carriage House are rounding up some good food and live entertainment for their Barnyard Bash Thursday, Aug. 30, at 5 p.m. Mike Michael will be barbecuing savory pulled pork and sausage, and the Colorado State Square Dancing Association will be performing and giving lessons.
    
No school Monday
    Students in Holyoke School District will not have class Monday, Sept. 3, due to Labor Day.
    
Football contest starts this week
    You’ve waited all year — it’s finally football season! The Enterprise and local businesses are sponsoring a weekly football contest. The contest will be posted each week in the newspaper and at https://www.holyokeenterprise.com/football. Decide who you think will win in each featured game and return to the Enterprise by dropping it off at 130 N. Interocean Ave. or by emailing brenda@jpipapers.com. Deadline is Friday at 5 p.m. each week.
    
Enterprise office to be closed Monday
    Because of the Labor Day holiday, the Enterprise office will be closed Monday, Sept. 3. The deadline remains at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, but early submissions will be appreciated.
