Holly Daze craft and gift show to fill Holyoke JR/SR High on Saturday
    Jolly Dozen FCE Club’s 56th annual Holly Daze event is set for Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Holyoke JR/SR High School. Vendors from Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming will feature a wide variety of crafts and gifts. Lunch is also available on site.
    
Sign up for gingerbread houses at Kids Holiday
    Kids age 3 and up are invited to decorate a gingerbread house and watch a Christmas movie at Colorado State University Extension’s Kids Holiday Monday, Nov. 5, from 1-4 p.m. at the Peerless Theatre. Adults should accompany children age 6 and under. Pre-registration and payment is due Thursday, Nov. 1. Call 970-854-3616 to sign up.
    
Family Ed plans Turkey Trot 5K
    Phillips County Family Education Services’ third annual Turkey Trot 5K and family fun 1-mile walk/run fundraiser is set for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, at 8:30 a.m. at Homesteaders Park. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.
    Participants can register up to the start of the race, but to guarantee a T-shirt, forms must be turned in by Sunday, Nov. 11. Forms can be picked up and dropped off at PCFES, located at Phillips County Event Center, between 1:30-6:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. They can also be mailed to P.O. Box 365, Holyoke, CO 80734. Unused paint accepted for recycling
    Quality Farm and Ranch Center in Wray and Yuma is now accepting unused and unwanted paint, stain and varnish at no charge. The paint recycling program is made possible by PaintCare.
