Students get four-day weekend
Students in Holyoke School District will get the day off Friday, April 14, for Good Friday heading into the Easter weekend. Additionally, there will not be class Monday, April 17, due to a teacher inservice.

Easter egg hunt is Saturday
An Easter egg hunt is planned for Saturday, April 15, at 1 p.m. Children will be split up in three locations.

Holyoke Lions Club is sponsoring the hunt at the Phillips County Courthouse lawn for age 6 and under. Kids in grades 1-2 should head to Holyoke City Park with the folks from American Legion Post No. 90. VFW Post No. 6482 is coordinating grades 3-4 at the HHS practice football field.

Start reading now for May 6 mother/daughter tea party at Heginbotham Library
Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters and friends are invited to a mother/daughter tea party at Heginbotham Library in Holyoke Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m.

Before the tea party, participants are encouraged to read one of the following books: “Little Women,” “Pride and Prejudice” or “Winter Garden.” The books can be checked out from the library. Audiobooks and large-print versions are also available.

Relay T-shirt deadline is May 1
The clock is ticking toward the Relay For Life of Northeast Colorado, set for Saturday, June 10, from 4 p.m.-midnight in Sterling. In order to receive a T-shirt, participants must register by Monday, May 1, and raise $100.

The next team party is Tuesday, April 25, at 5:30 p.m. at Sterling Nazarene Church. For more info, visit www.relay.org/neco.
