Sign up for Country Christmas ‘North Pole’ parade, window decorating contest
    Holyoke will soon be transformed into “The North Pole” for Holyoke Chamber of Commerce’s Country Christmas Monday, Dec. 3.
    Highline Electric Association and PC Telcom invite the community to decorate a float for the 20th annual Parade of Lights, which is set for 6:30 p.m. on Interocean Avenue. Entry forms may be picked up at either sponsoring business. They should be returned by Friday, Nov. 30, to Kim Dickmeyer, PC Telcom, kim.dickmeyer@pctelcom.org, 970-854-2201.
    The chamber is also sponsoring a window decorating contest. Sign up by Friday, Nov. 30, by emailing director@holyokechamber.org or by calling 970-854-3517.
    
Viaero holding coat drive
    Holyoke’s Viaero Wireless is collecting unused coats through Friday, Dec. 7. Community members in need of a coat should also stop by.
    
Enterprise office will be closed Nov. 22-23
    Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, The Holyoke Enterprise office will be closed all day Thursday-Friday, Nov. 22-23.

Shield 616 presentation planned Nov. 29; law enforcement to get armor package
    Because of a community fundraising effort in coordination with Holyoke Lions Club and Shield 616, law enforcement officers in Phillips County will be receiving an armor package, including a ballistic helmet, plate carrier vest, rifle-rated armor and a gunshot wound trauma kit.
    There is a special presentation and reception planned for Thursday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Lions Den, 125 N. Campbell Ave. The public is invited to attend — especially those who financially supported the fundraiser.
