Register for ESL, GED classes Monday
    Phillips County Family Education Service’s second-semester registration day is set for Monday, Jan. 7, at 5:30 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center’s Ortner Room.
    New instructor Sharlene Benson will be teaching ESL classes Monday-Thursday from 1:15-3:15 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center. A family literacy program is also offered during both ESL classes.
    Those interested in GED classes can choose a class time when they sign up on Monday.
    PCFES will also be offering a citizenship preparation class but has yet to determine specific days or times. An after-school program will continue to be offered Monday-Thursday from 3:45-5:15 p.m.

School resumes Monday
    After a long break from school, students and teachers in Holyoke School District will head back to classrooms Monday, Jan. 7.
    
4-H sets enrollment deadlines
    It’s that time of year when youth need to sign up for Phillips County 4-H. The deadline for current members to re-enroll is Tuesday, Jan. 15. The cutoff for new members to sign up has been extended to Friday, March 1. For more information, contact Kindra Plumb at the Phillips County Extension office, 970-854-3616.
